Delfo, a chef with vast experience in Michelin restaurants worldwide, has been awarded two Michelin stars for his culinary finesse. Rachel is an alumna of the International Hotel Management School and has successfully completed her wine studies at The Wine Academy in the Netherlands.

Their paths crossed in 2015 when they worked in a prestigious Michelin-starred restaurant in the Netherlands: De Librije, where they shared a short love story. Thankfully, Rachel trusted her instincts after five years, and it turned out to be a remarkable decision.

After five years spent apart, their journey led them to the enchanting land of Sicily, where Delfo honed his culinary skills as a chef and Rachel worked on a winery on the slopes of vulcano Etna. It was during this time that they made the momentous decision to merge their dreams and aspirations, ultimately leading them to the heart of Italy: Umbria.

And now, they stand united, embarking on an extraordinary life project known as Il Posto, The Place. Their vision encompasses a variety of offerings, including holiday rentals, unforgettable culinary experiences, a stunning event venue, and a dedicated working space for individuals with special needs.
